Text: Galatians 3:23-29
Aim: To grasp the great benefits of faith.
Memory Verse:
“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and
heirs according to the promise” (Ga.3:29).
INTRODUCTION:
How many times have you begun a journey, only to realize that
you made a wrong turn along the way? You wanted to go south, but
you were actually heading west. Sincere as you were about wanting
to go south, your destination was westward bound.
Many of us have turned down the wrong road in life, trusting in
our works and the law to save us. We have been sincere, but we
have been sincerely wrong. How can we make a mid-course
correction? By faith, we must begin to trust the Lord to show us the
way.
Some people in the churches of Galatia were spreading a false
teaching. They were saying that a person is justified by works and
law; that is, that a person becomes acceptable to God by subjecting
himself to Christ, but he must also subject himself to the law and do

Does for Us, 3:23–29

But before faith came, we
were kept under the law, shut up
unto the faith which should after-
wards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our
schoolmaster to bring us unto
Christ, that we might be justified
by faith.
25 But after that faith is come,
we are no longer under a school-
master.
26 For ye are all the children of
God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have
been
baptized into Christ have
put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor
Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor
female: for ye are all one in
Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are
ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs
according to
the promise.
