The Dance of Fear
We circle each other, skirting around,
Edging closer, then jumping out.
Slowly advancing, the swiftly retreating;
It's our little dance of fear.
We want to move in, but fear holds us back,
Hope draws us closer, then doubts pull us out.
Daring for a bit but unwilling to be hurt.
It's our little dance of fear.
Love is the answer, love is the key,
To keep moving forward when fears keep us cold.
One needs to go first, needs to take a risk
In the amazing dance of love.
By Lynn Miller
My Darling Daughter,
it is not My will that you go
through this. My heart bleeds and
cries with yours; but we won't let it
go to waste, will we? Use this time
to draw near to Me, with full
assurance of faith, for I am faithful.
You will not be in this place
forever. I will not leave you
comfortless. Listen for My soft
voice in your ear as I lean over
your shoulder in eagerness to share
every moment with you, My love.
You are not alone, in the good
times or the bad times. I am just as
present now, as when the sailing is
smooth, even more so perhaps,
because My heart throbs with yours
when you hurt. Your tears will not
last forever. I will wipe them, and
you will sing, laugh, and dance
again. Rest assured in that fact.
Hahahaha! Hahahaha! You will
DANCE again, did you hear Me?
Whoops, hollers, carrying on!
Quiets down. Reach out in love,
my dear. Be patient and choose
love in each difficult moment. It
will be worth it all.
For his anger endureth but a
moment; in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a
night, but joy cometh in the
morning (Psalm 30:5).
