The Amish Voice 6

Response #1

The following is a response to an

article we printed in the September

2015 issue, called Fornication,

Adultery, and Homosexuality.

D. Miller:

I beg and plead with the

Amish Voice, please, for Christ Jesus’

sake, unto the glory and praise of

Almighty God the Father, our Creator,

please don’t publish about such

perversion.

Read Ephesians chapter three, and

especially verses three and twelve. There

may be many innocent young girls and

boys who have never heard of any kind

of perversion, until they may read what is

published in the so-called Amish Voice.

What a shame. What a shame. Please!

Please! Please publish and distribute only

the New Testament, the gospel of Christ

Jesus our Redeemer. You could set up

tables at shopping malls, schools,

anywhere Almighty God would open up

doors. I believe I would be willing to

help with money.

Joe Keim:

Thank you D. Miller for

taking the time to write. We do take

your response seriously. I realize that

topics, such as the one I wrote about in

September are very sensitive. However,

it is also important for you to know that

not everyone felt quite the same way you

did. A large number of parents ordered

the set of books we offered — Teaching

and Equipping Our Children for Life.

I would love to hear from the parents

who are going through the books with

their children. If you would rather not

have us publish your response, please let

us know.

Lastly, let us not forget that God has

plenty to say about the

gift

and

curse

of

sexuality.

==================

Anonymous:

Please do not send any

more of these foolish questions and vain

babblings . . . . Print the Holy Scriptures,

please. No more and no less. All

commentary or commentaries are foolish

and vain babblings.

Joe Keim:

I’m sorry to hear you feel

that way, Anonymous. In Acts 17:11,

the

Bible says:

These were more noble than

those in Thessalonica, in that they received

the word with all readiness of mind, and

searched the scriptures daily, whether

those things were so.

The Bereans listened to Paul as he taught

in the synagogue. Every day, they

searched the Scriptures, saying, "Let's

check out the teaching Paul's giving.

Let's consider what he's saying as it

relates to the Scriptures." And because

the Bereans searched the Scriptures

daily, they have been noted throughout

the ages as being noble.

It is our goal and passion to challenge

and encourage men and women to study

the Word of God, to compare what we

write with the Scriptures, and to let us

know when we write something contrary

to the Scriptures.

Every week, a group of us gathers to pray

for those who write and read the articles

in this publication. We are very much

aware that we must stand before God and

give an account. Please pray for us and

feel free to write to the Amish Voice.

We would love to hear from

you! —Joe Keim
