HOW TO REACT TO THE WRONG DOER

Hebrews 10:31

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Matthew Henry, the well-known Bible commentator, was attacked and robbed. Afterward, he made this statement:

“I am thankful first, because although they took my money, they did not take my life; second, although they took

all my money, it was not much; and third, because it was I who was robbed, not I who did the robbing.”

Victims of robbery and cruel treatment often have a hard time feeling anything but contempt and hate for the

person who wronged them. If seen from the right perspective, however, they would feel sorry for the ones who

caused their pain or loss. Those evil deeds will bring the perpetrators under the judgment of God one day.

John wrote about the coming Day of Judgment in Rev. 20:12,

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before

God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were

judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

It is better to be victimized by a wicked person than to be that wicked person who will be judged by a holy God. It

is much better to forgive that person and help them to find forgiveness and salvation before it’s eternally too late.
