MAHAFFEY, PA — An Amish man is lodged in Clearfield County Jail and his wife is on unsecured bail on charges stemming from the alleged sexual assaults of six of eight biological daughters over a period of about 12 years.
Wallace J. Schmucker, 54, of the 200-block of Harvath Lane in Bell Township was charged on Wednesday at District Judge James Glass’ office by Punxustawney-based state police with multiple felony counts of aggravated indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors; and numerous misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure and indecent assault.
