NEWPORT, N.Y. — New York State Police in Herkimer responded around 8 a.m. Wednesday to reports of a hit-and-run crash on Summit Road in the town of Newport.
According to troopers, an investigation found that a vehicle struck an Amish horse and buggy from behind and drove away from the scene.
