Every Monday and Thursday during the growing season, Amish buggies loaded with produce ‒ tomatoes, watermelons, peppers, onions and sweet corn ‒ journey to the Peoli Farms Produce Auction in southern Tuscarawas County, Ohio, to have it sold on the open market.
“When people ask where the produce comes from, we always say the majority comes in from a buggy distance away,” said auction manager Adam Spencer.
