TOWN OF NEWPORT, N.Y. – New York State Police are investigating a crash involving a horse and buggy in Herkimer County.
According to police, officers responded to a reported hit-and-run collision that occurred around 8:05 a.m. Wednesday on Summit Rd. in the Town of Newport.
An investigation revealed that an unknown suspect vehicle struck an Amish horse and buggy from behind and then fled the scene.
