Where Will You Spend Eternity?

There is no bigger question than what happens when this life is over. You don’t have to “hope” – you can know.

Is There Life After Death?

Many people wonder if there is really life after death. Some hope there is. Some hope there isn’t. But what if there is?

Question

Is there life after death?

Answer

You can know that you are going to Heaven.

Question

Have you ever wondered about life, and if there really is life after death?

Answer

Maybe there isn’t… but what if there is?

If Heaven is real and hell is real, is it worth taking the chance that you might spend an eternity in hell?

If you could know that you were going to Heaven, would you want to?

“All my life I was told…”

All my life I was told things like:

  • “If you do this, you are going to hell.”
  • “If you don’t do that, you are going to hell.”

After years of that, I figured I was going to hell anyway, so why not just live it up? I even thought, “When I die and go to hell, all my friends will be there anyway.”

But here’s the truth: I was lied to.

Maybe you’ve heard things like:

  • “If you don’t get baptized, you won’t go to Heaven.”
  • “If you don’t obey your parents, you won’t go to Heaven.”
  • “If you don’t dress in plain clothing, you won’t go to Heaven.”
  • “If you don’t die Amish, you won’t go to Heaven.”

If… If… If… Can you relate?

Let’s Put Religion Aside and Reason Together

For a moment, forget labels and traditions. This is too important to ignore.

First

Heaven is not just a reward and hell is not just a punishment. They are real places.

Second

You don’t have to be “good” to go to Heaven. You would have to be perfect.

Third

You are not perfect, and neither am I—but God has a plan.

Fourth

Christ’s payment on the cross is God’s plan. Let’s think this through.

How Many Sins Did Christ Pay For?

Question

How many sins did Christ pay for when He died on the cross?

Answer

The Bible says He paid for all sin—past, present, and future.

Question

If He paid for all sin, and we accept that payment, how many sins are left for us to pay for?

Answer

None. If all of our sins are paid for, we can go to Heaven, not because we deserve it, but because Jesus paid the price for us.

What is sin and who is a sinner?

God says sin is anything that causes us to miss the “mark” of perfection. Romans 6:23 says, “the wages (payment) of sin is death.”

If there were sin in Heaven, then there would be death in Heaven. Only one Person was perfect—Jesus. He died to pay for OUR sins, not His.

What Does “Everlasting Life” Really Mean?

Jesus used the word “everlasting” and “eternal” on purpose. It means forever, not “until you mess up again.”

1

Jesus died on the cross about 2,000 years ago.

2

Today, if you believe that Jesus died for all your sins, God promises to give you everlasting life the moment you believe.

3

If you’re given everlasting life today, you still have it tomorrow, next year, and at the moment of your death.

4

If there were anything you could do to lose it, it would not be everlasting. It would be temporary.

Question: How long is everlasting?

Answer: It means forever. Not just for a little while.

“He that believeth on me, has everlasting life.” (John 6:47) That means you possess it the moment you believe—because God said so.

What Does the Bible Say?

Take a Bible and look these up for yourself. Be a “Berean” and search the Scriptures.

Romans 3:23

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

2 Corinthians 5:21

“For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”

Ephesians 2:8–9

“For by grace are ye saved through faith… it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 6:37, 39

“…him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out… that of all which He hath given Me I should lose nothing…”

1 John 5:13

“…that ye may know that ye have eternal life…”

Do You Want to Know You’re Going to Heaven?

If you understand that you cannot save yourself, and that Jesus paid for all your sin on the cross, you can simply come to God in faith.

Here is an example of how you might pray:

Father, I don’t know it all, but the best that I know how, I accept the payment that Jesus made for my sin when He died on the cross. Please forgive me for every sin I have ever committed against You. Thank You for loving me and giving Your Son to die in my place. I now confess to You that Jesus is Lord, and that He died and rose again. I invite You into my life, and ask You to help me become what You would have me to be. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

The words themselves don’t save you. God looks at the heart. If you truly trust in Jesus alone, He promises you everlasting life.

If You Just Trusted Christ…

According to God’s Word, you belong to Him and He has given you eternal life. We’d love to rejoice with you and help you grow.

The Race Is Just Beginning

Hebrews 12:1–2 reminds us to lay aside every weight and sin and “run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus…”

Winning any race takes effort, but the victory God promises is worth it. At the finish line is the same Savior who opened His arms on the cross for you.
