“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4)
God desires two things:
1. That all be saved.
2. That all come to the knowledge of the truth.
Salvation is just the beginning — God wants us to grow in truth. So ask yourself:
• Do you desire to grow?
• Are you teachable?
There are many kinds of believers:
• Young
• Carnal
• Solid
• Mature
Some don’t care.
Some are comfortable.
Some are always hungry for more truth.
Some say they’re Bible believers — others truly are.
Some rarely open their Bible.
Some search the Scriptures daily.
That’s why when truth is shared, reactions differ.
• Some get offended.
• Some ignore it.
• Some search the Scriptures to see if these things are so.
So… which one are you?
Satisfied with what you know — or open to anything supported by Scripture?
“…ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe” (1 Thessalonians 2:13).
Stay teachable.
Study the Word.
That’s how we come unto the knowledge of the truth.
