Amish family in Lancaster County speaks to national reporter about newborn’s death

The Amish mother of an infant whose death is being investigated by the Lancaster County coroner was sick with measles days before the baby was born, according to reporting in a national media outlet, and while the rest of the family had not been vaccinated, the father was.

Tom Bartlett, a reporter for The Atlantic, wrote about interviewing “the family at the center of Pennsylvania’s measles controversy”: an Amish couple with 13 living children on a farm in Lancaster County.
