Dear God, Send Just One More Great Awakening

Well, it happened again. I woke up two hours before it was time to get up this morning. Like so many other mornings, I couldn't sleep because of my bottomless desire to see revival break out across our Amish communities and the land we live in.
The cry of my heart, like never before, is that God would send one more great awakening.
So many men and women have become stagnant and sluggish in their spiritual lives. At the end of the day, they are too tired to read the Word of God; prayer has become more of a tradition than a cry from the heart.
Oh yes, there are those few times in their lives when they passionately desire a deeper relationship with God but then it quickly passes away because there is too much work to do.
Days turn into months and months turn into years. When is it going to stop and when is it going to change, you ask? The answer is simple, when we decide to put a stop to it. You see, there are some men and women who are afraid that if they open up to the Lord too much, it may require that they change their way of thinking and doing things. But friend, if we want what God wants, we have to stop thinking that way; we have to line our thinking up with God's thinking, because in the end that is the only thing that will matter anyways.
Dear Lord, send just one more great awakening like you did back in Martin Luther's day and so many others. Help us to feel the need to get on our faces before You God and start doing things Your way instead of ours.
Oh God, we want to hear from You, more then ever before. Awake us out of our sleep and cause us to hunger and thirst after Your Righteousness and not ours. We have sinned against You oh God, and today we desire to make things right with You. Come and take over in our families and churches and do what You desire to accomplish. Send revival! Amen
