What Is The Christian Life?

Let me tell you what I believe God has been reminding me of lately... The implications of the Gospel in humans' lives are hard, very hard, in fact impossible without the grace of the Holy Spirit applying His life to ours. The Gospel means... the end of me (the death of me). I'm done... self-sacrifice... self-denial.
It's about knowing Him and living the way He requires of His people. That's what the Christian "life" calls us to do.
The Christian life is not one more thing or a "little something" we can add to our lives to make it better in our own pursuit of personal peace, happiness, and affluence. The Christian life is not about having "your best life now" or "becoming a better you" or "finding my purpose in life.
It is not a means for attaining success and achieving my own agenda, and having Jesus prosper me. It is not about "how is this gonna help me". It is not about you adding a dash of Jesus to your life to make it go better for you. It is not about discovering Jesus' secret way on how to live the good life. No!!! It is not about US, it's ALL about Him.
It is about Him living and us dying... about Jesus increasing and us decreasing (being consumed for Him). It is about His will being done not ours. It is about pursuing the things that are important to Him. It is ALL about seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness.
