Keep up the Good Work, by E. T.
March 1, 2018
Good Morning, Greetings on a cold Monday morning. I would like to order one of your books, The Overcoming Life. And here is some money to help pay for your newsletter. Finally! Keep up the good work! I know you face opposition, but so did Jesus. I’m also thankful for some opposition, so we know Jesus is working. If Satan would leave us alone, then he would be sure he has us in his clutches already.

Paul Miller responds: Hello, E. Thank you very much for your gift. It will certainly help us be able to continue sending out the Amish Voice and getting the truth of God’s Word to many people. You are right that many people oppose some of our teaching, but this is not much difficulty compared to what many Christians around the world face. Also, when we do get letters of opposition, they seem to be more of “This is not what we believe” or “This is not what our church teaches” instead of “This is not what God’s Word says.” I suppose the reason for this is that many still cling to their religion and the beliefs that they were taught from their early years. These things can be difficult to let go, but our desire is to discuss these things as friends and go to the Word of God together.
While we do get some letters of opposition, we also get some letters like yours—encouraging and thanking us for staying true to the Word of God. We hope that all of our readers will be like the Berean Jews of Acts 17 and not just blindly accept or reject the Amish Voice, but search the Scriptures to see what the Bible really says.
Thank you for your kindness and encouragement. May you keep trusting in God and following Jesus faithfully as you read the Bible, love God and others, and obey the commandments of Jesus.
