I would like to receive my free copy of The Secret of the Strength. We don’t know about a lot of what our ancestors had to go through for us to be where we are today. It really was a test of their faith. I can’t wait to read the book. I look forward to reading the Amish Voice each month to see how God is working in people’s lives.

It is our sincere desire to choose material that deepens our understanding of Scripture and gives us a desire to dig deeper and learn more about the treasures found in God’s Word! Yes, I agree that it is also good to read about historical events, such as the ones contained in The Secret of the Strength, to gain an appreciation for the persecution our ancestors endured. Reading about the commitment of their faith encourages us to continue to look carefully at our own hearts to discern if our actions are motivated by a true love for Christ, or if they are simply a learned way of life.
