Coshocton, Ohio - Officials said a buggy accident in Coshocton County injured two Sunday evening.
The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office said just before 5:30 p.m., in the 31000 block of Crawford Township Road 227, they responded to an accident with multiple injuries.
Officials said that Raymond Yoder was loading an Amish buggy when the horse became spooked and took off causing the buggy to roll over.

Leitchfield, Kentucky- Several Grayson County residents were injured in car crashes on Monday, April 28.
Three individuals were injured when a car crashed into a buggy on Brandenburg Road.
At around 11:55 a.m. on Monday, personnel from Grayson County Emergency Medical Services, the Leitchfield Fire Department, and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle versus buggy crash near 3000 Brandenburg Road.
The driver of a blue, 1989 Cadillac, James Lunsford, 72, of Hudson, told police he had been travelling north on Brandenburg Road when he crested a hill and noticed the buggy, also travelling north, ahead of him, said Investigating GCSO Deputy Adam Cottrell on the scene.

Ohio - Many communities in states in the northern part of the country contain Amish communities, and Ohio is no exception. Amish buggies share the roadways with motor vehicles on a regular basis. Sometimes, an SUV accident occurs involving an Amish buggy that ends up causing significant injuries and, in some cases, death.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol recently reported such an accident involving five Amish family members who were traveling down a northern Ohio road on the night of March 30. An SUV came up behind the buggy and slammed into it. Four members of the Amish family were taken to an area hospital for treatment of the injuries they suffered in the crash. The injuries of one 28-year-old victim were significantly more serious than the others, and he died as a result of them at the hospital. The current conditions of the other three injured parties are not known.

Manton, Michigan - Police say a vehicle struck an Amish buggy from behind on Old U.S. 131 just south of Manton Wednesday night, then fled the scene.
The driver of the buggy, an adult female, was sent to the hospital with head injuries as a result of the crash. Extent of her injuries was not available at press time.
Michigan State Police Trooper Shelley Izzard said witnesses described an explosion when the vehicle made contact with the buggy, which was carrying seven people, mostly children who were ejected from the carriage.

Leacock Township, Pennsylvania - A 14-year-old Pennsylvania girl driving a horse and buggy has been injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. Monday in Leacock Township, Lancaster County.
State police say the horse and buggy was turning left when it was struck by a tractor-trailer that was attempting to pass it on the left. The buggy spun and came to rest in a ditch.

Hopkinsville, Kentucky - A Hopkinsville Road crash involving a horse-drawn buggy injured a Trigg County man Sunday morning, according to Kentucky State Police reports.
The crash was reported on Ky. 91, about 4 miles north of Hopkinsville in Christian County, at 8:58 a.m. Sunday.

Evergreen Township, Michigan - A truck driver distracted while driving failed to see an Amish buggy in front of him, colliding with the horse-drawn vehicle. Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies responded to scene of the traffic crash that occurred Sunday around 8:30 a.m.

Sanilac County, Michigan -Two people and a horse were hurt after a semi-truck rear-ended an Amish buggy Sunday morning.
Not much is left of the buggy after the accident on Van Slyke Road near Robinson Road in Sanilac County's Evergreen Township.
Investigators say the truck driver, 56-year-old William Patterson from North Carolina was traveling north on M-53 when he hit the buggy. He says he was distracted and didn't see the buggy until it was too late.

Burton, Ohio - Authorities say a man was killed and three family members injured when an SUV slammed into the back of an Amish buggy in northeastern Ohio.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says alcohol may have been a factor in the Sunday night crash in Burton in Geauga County.
Twenty-eight-year-old Joseph Byler died at a hospital at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Byler's 19-year-old sister, Alma Byler, was flown to a Cleveland hospital. Two other family members were treated at a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Elkhart County, Indiana - A Michiana teen was flown to the hospital after swerving to miss a horse and buggy.
The crash happened on CR 36, east of CR 37 in Elkhart County around 10:30 Friday night.
Police say Dustin Schwartz, 16, of Goshen was traveling eastbound on CR 36 when he tried to pass a horse and buggy.
The horse became spooked, and Schwartz swerved to miss hitting the animal.

Marcellon, Wisconsin - A horse and an Amish man suffered minor injuries after the buggy he was driving was rear-ended Wednesday afternoon on Highway 22 in Columbia County.
Authorities were called at 2:12 p.m. to the scene of the crash, near Turner Road in the town of Marcellon.
Sheriff Dennis Richards said a vehicle collided with the rear of the buggy, which was damaged in the incident.

Steuben County, New York - A 28-year-old Amish man is in stable condition today after his buggy was struck from behind on Tuesday in Steuben County by a motorist who faces a charge of drunken driving.
New York State Police in Bath responded to a personal injury accident that occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. on County Route 123 in the Town of Cameron.

Bellefontaine, Ohio - Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a horse and buggy and car crash about 12:15 p.m. Sunday on State Route 638 at County Road 113.
Elmer L. Hochstetler, 82, of Bellefontaine, was operating a southbound buggy when he said the reins leading the horse broke. The horse continued to make a left turn in front of a northbound car operated by Joshua M. Lightle, 32, of Belle Center. The car struck the horse and then the buggy overturned.

Vernon County, Wisconsin - A Wonewoc man passing an Amish buggy in Vernon County on Friday had to swerve to avoid hitting an oncoming Amish buggy, rolling his vehicle but suffering no injuries.
The crash was on Highway 82 in the town of Union, the Vernon County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Upper Leacock Township, Pennsylvania -Two people were injured and a horse was euthanized after a car crashed into a buggy in Lancaster County on Monday morning.
The crash happened on the 1000 block of West Main Street in Upper Leacock Township. The area is just west of Peters Road.

West Earl Township, Pennsylvania - One man was injured Friday in a hit and run crash involving a horse and buggy.
The crash took place shortly after noon in the area of 337 N. Maple Ave. in West Earl Township.
According to Akron Police Chief Tom Zell, who handled the call because the West Earl officer was at another crash scene, a gray or silver vehicle containing two people was traveling north on Maple Avenue when it struck the buggy in the rear. The car pushed the buggy about 150 feet. The buggy then struck a snow bank along the shoulder of the road, and toppled over onto its side.

West Clan, Pennsylvania – A hit-and-run accident involving a horse and buggy in West Caln Thursday night left the buggy driver injured and his horse dead.
According to West Caln Police Chief Curt Martinez, officers responded to the accident at about 7:30 p.m. on West Kings Highway and Ash Road. Officers reported the horse died from injuries sustained after being struck by the vehicle and the driver sustained minor injuries.
Martinez said the buggy driver received treatment at the scene.

A 10-year-old Amish boy suffered a broken leg Wednesday when a buggy he was riding in collided with a passing car, Howard County Sheriff’s deputies reported.
Deputy Rod Lynch said four children were heading to class around 10:07 a.m. Tuesday when the pony cart they were riding in failed to stop at the end of a driveway in the 6200 block of County Road 400 East.

Belmont County, Ohio - Officials with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a head-on crash involving a horse and buggy Monday evening. The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. just south of Somerton along State Route 800 in Belmont County. Investigators believe a vehicle went to pass another before striking the buggy.

Lycoming County, Pennsylvania - A mother and daughter were rushed to the hospital after a buggy crash in Lycoming County. The horse-drawn buggy they were riding in was rear-ended by another vehicle thursday.
It happened along Route 44 near the former Nippenose Valley Elementary School in Jersey Shore. Police believe the driver didn't see the buggy in time because of the glaring sun.

Nankin, Ohio - Four people were transported with injuries following a head-on collision between a car and an Amish buggy at about 4:30 p.m. on Ohio 58 north of Nankin and south of County Road 620.
The severity of injuries and the names of parties involved had not yet been released by 6 p.m. Friday.

Lincoln, Pennsylvania - Two teenage girls were treated and released from the hospital after a car vs. buggy accident west of Lincoln.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Dept. says it happened around 4 p.m. Saturday. The two girls were driving a horse-drawn buggy near SW 16th and West Denton Road when a vehicle crashed into them from behind.

Lititz, Pennsylvania - A horse was killed in one of two crashes on Route 322 Thursday evening involving buggies. The accidents happened at the same time on opposite sides of Ephrata. The first crash was reported at 5:45 p.m. at East Farmersville Road in Earl Township.

Warick Township, Pennsylvania - A man was critically injured when he was thrown from a horse and buggy in Warwick Township on Sunday, police said.
Isaac K. King, 66, of the 1200 block of Clay Road, was driving the buggy in his block shortly after 1:30 p.m. when something apparently spooked his horse, Northern Lancaster County Regional police reported.

Brinkhaven, Ohio - A child was injured when a horse-drawn carriage fell apart Wednesday afternoon, but is expected to survive. Ohio State Highway Patrol officers at the Mt. Gilead post said five passengers were in an Amish buggy when a pin came loose, separating the carriage from the horse.
