Yoders Tours |
My name is Arlen Yoder, and I was hired in February 2019 to be the grant writer at Mission to Amish People. I worked over twenty-eight years in community mental health before retiring in February. My wife, Dee, and I have been involved with MAP for about twelve years, so the transition to working part-time at MAP came naturally. In my previous job I successfully wrote several grants, but I’m still learning what it takes to successfully write grants on a steady basis for a vital and growing ministry. Part of my job is to engage foundations about grants, but I also have been enlisted by Joe Keim, MAP’s executive director, to engage the public and supporters of MAP to do tours of the MAP campus to inform the public and supporters of what really occurs on a regular basis at MAP. We are excited to announce “A Day in the Life of Mission to Amish People” (see above). If you or your group want to learn more about MAP, you can contact me about taking a couple-hour tour of our campus, meeting our staff, and finding out some of the exciting things we are doing. If you or your group is interested, please email me at ayoder@mapministry.org. |
