Office Manager Position |
We have been writing about the need for a live-in mentor at New Beginnings Homestead to replace Velda who is moving at the end of March, and also about the need for an Office Manager at MAP to replace Tina who is semi-retiring in November. After numerous interviews for both positions, the Lord seems to be connecting us with Holley to fill the Office Manager Position. Holley has already been serving part-time with MAP. She finished college toward the end of 2020 and is ready to find her niche and calling in life. We would feel so grateful if you could join us in praying, as we seek for God’s leading for Holley and the Office Manager position at MAP. Please continue to pray for the live-in mentor position at New Beginnings Homestead. Currently, we have five young women living in the apartments. What an awesome opportunity for an older couple to take on the role of becoming a mother/father figure, invest in discipling these young women, and make an impact in this generation! Do you know anyone well suited for this position? Won’t you take a moment, let them know of this exciting opportunity, and encourage them to contact us? Please pray with us to find God’s choice for this important position. We will keep you updated. – Joe Keim Introduction from Holley It is my pleasure to introduce my-self. My name is Holley Tolliver, and I am the grand-daughter of Tina Duffield, Office Manager at MAP. With each New Year comes change, and this year is no different. As many of you may already know, Tina will be retiring near the end of this year. I am excited to announce that I am a candidate to fill her position. I have been praying about this for quite some time, and feel God guiding me to fill my Grandmother’s shoes. I have been a part of the MAP Ministry since I was little, but it wasn’t until last year that I fully became a part of working at the office. During the COVID Pandemic, many of the volunteers were unable to come to work at MAP. I worked tirelessly helping to make sure that Bible Club students were still able to receive their lessons. I started out by folding and taping lessons and then moved on to entering data on the computers. With each new day, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to learn more and more about how the Bible Club operates. I have seen firsthand the work and hours that are needed, and I am willing to work hard to ensure that the Bible Club continues to run successfully. I am a Bible-believing, born-again Christian and a member at Bethel Baptist Church. I have a great love for the Lord, and my heart yearns to share the love of Christ with Amish Children. I would ask everyone to join me as I pray for God to show us His plans for not only my life, but also for the Ministry as well. I want to thank everyone for the time and support that they have given the Bible Club over the years. Also, thank you for praying for the Ministry as we push on through the New Year. |
Tabbing Machine |
We recently expressed the need for funds to purchase an industrial tabbing machine. Thank you for giving so generously! Your gifts were more than enough! This machine will be used to prepare outgoing publications, often in excess of 10,000 a month — saving countless hours for our ministry volunteers. We are so blessed! |
Step Out of the Boat Conference |
For the last 10 years, we have done 1, 2, and 3-day Amish Awareness Conferences at various churches in the US. The purpose for these conferences was to encourage local churches to reach their Amish communities with the gospel. As time went on, I envisioned another kind of conference. One where 20 never-Amish, former Amish, and Amish got up and preached and shared their testimonies for 20 minutes each. We tried to make it happen in 2020, but God did not allow it. This year is different, God is allowing the conference to come together. We really want Amish people to speak in this conference. Not only do we desire for them to speak at the conference, we are praying that one of the Holmes County worship groups will come and minister to our hearts. We are just one month away! Folks are getting excited and have already started registering for the conference. Today, I want to invite you and your family to also join us. You simply can’t afford to miss it. Our theme is Stepping Out of the Boat. Chris will share what happened when God asked him to tithe from his business income, and he had nothing to give. You’ll hear from Eli, the Amish man who got saved, sold everything he had and moved his family to Nicaragua to serve as missionaries. Ephraim gave up his entire farm, drove to NYC and began preaching the gospel from the street corners—now he uses lambs to reach Jews and Muslims with the gospel. A nursery for ages 4 and under will be provided. Rachel is doing a mini children’s conference downstairs; children will learn about the armor of God. As always, we will feed you well! So, register yourself, your family, and your friends today. While you are in the area, plan on spending a few days in Holmes County, touring, and learning about the Amish.
