Son to Mother: Give Me Over to God
June 21, 2003
Greetings Mom,
Happy Mothers Day!
I had been planning to come out on Mother's Day weekend, but I heard that you went to PA, so I didn't come out. Even though I couldn't come see you, I was thinking about you. You are the best MOM on this Earth. DON'T FORGET THAT!!!!!
I love you very much. You look the best, and you cook the best. Thank you for all the things you have ever done for me. You raised me from your womb through thick and thin. You have given me clothes to wear, food to eat, things to play with, and all that I needed and more.
But the only thing you did not do is give me over to God. If you would have, you would be happy with what I am doing now. I know that I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. There is a BIG difference in knowing him and having a personal relationship with him.
When I invited Jesus Christ into my heart, he came in and forgave me of my sins. Now, we have a relationship with each other. He tells me what to do, how to do it, and when to do it.
John 16:12-14: I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Jesus said that He will send the Holy Spirit to tell us everything that we need to know...
He also said in Matthew 7:7-8: Ask, and it shall be given unto you, Seek, and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh, receiveth, and he that seeketh, findeth, and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened. And that is exactly what he does for me when I ask, seek or knock. He's always there for me.
Mom, I wish you would give me over to God like Hannah did in 1st Samuel 12. She wanted a child so bad that she said to God, "if you give me a child, I will give the child back to you God when he is born." So God blessed her with a child, and she named the child Samuel. As soon as the baby was able to drink milk, Hannah took the baby over to the priest.
She did what she told the Lord she would do if the Lord would give her a child. I wish you would read this story, and do the same thing to me, and give me over to the Lord and be happy. God is the one that gave me to you. I am not your spiritual son, but I am your physical son.
Your son,
William
