I was raised Amish, under a strict law and thought as long as I follow the rules as good as I can I could hope to be in Heaven sometime. But their were a lot of things that didn't make sense and always brought me to the Bible. I kept searching and trusting in the words "seek and you will find" till one Wednesday evening, January 2005 I put all my junk mail aside and read the Bible which was unusual cause our practice was to only read the Bible on Sunday.
I read in Romans 6, 7 and 8 and I understood those chapters like I never did before. I was amazed and realized for the first time that the Amish faith can't be right. I was very anxious to tell my dad and mom about it but they were not so happy to hear it, although they didn't take it as serious as I knew it was. Till the third time we talked about it a couple days later. I told them the Amish are like the Scribes and Pharisees. That is when they got some of the family together at our house to try and talk us out of this new thing the Bible was teaching me.
Then I really got confused. The Bible was telling me one thing and they were telling me it was Satan trying to get me. So the next day, Friday "the week after that Wednesday evening" I was trying to figure this all out till finally I came to the end of myself and realized I am a sinner and deserved to go to hell. Then I had peace with God and he led me from there.
