I got saved last year, right around thanksgiving. I can't really put it into words what it was like when I got saved. Brother Eli told me a lot of things about how Jesus died for our sins and that we must be born again in order to get to Heaven. I started reading my Bible and I started realizing what a sinner I was and where I would end up without Christ and salvation. One night, I was upstairs to my bed, I lay there all alone and reading my Bible; I just felt like I was dead.
One verse that really stood out to me was:
Matthew Chapter 3:3: For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
And the lord just revealed it to me and at that moment I accepted Christ as my savior. After that, I left the Amish because I didn't agree with what their religion taught me, and now that I got saved I want to get baptized because Jesus Himself got baptized and the Bible tells us to get baptized:
MATTHEW CHAPTER 28 VERSEES 19 AND 20: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
