After 9 months, truck driver charged in triple-fatal buggy crash

MONTCALM COUNTY, MI - A truck-vs-buggy crash that killed three children and injured six other members of a Mennonite family nine months ago has led to six misdemeanor charges against the truck driver.

Brandon King, 29, of Sheridan, was charged Tuesday, Aug. 14 on three counts of moving violation causing death and three counts of moving violation causing serious impairment of a body function.

King pleaded guilty to the charges Tuesday, according to Montcalm County District Court records. He faces up to a year in jail for the three most serious charges.
