County commissioners offer help to Amish family in flood map dispute

FOUNTAIN CITY, IN - Wayne County commissioners on Wednesday stated their willingness to rescind a stop-work order issued by the county at the state's request if doing so would allow an Amish family to complete a half-finished home on Boundary Road.

Commissioners told representatives of the Fisher family to find out if pulling the order would be enough to convince their bank to free up loan funding that was cut off when the order was handed down earlier this year as requested by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
