New Ohio law seeks to make Amish buggies more visible, reduce collisions

The bill would require animal-drawn vehicles to display these two things on top of the vehicle at all times. Failure to do so could result in a fine.
Ohio’s “English” drivers must share the road with thousands of Amish buggies. It can be dangerous for all vehicles when buggies and carts don’t use enough reflective tape or lights.
Lawmakers and law enforcement believe requiring horse-drawn buggies to display a flashing light will decrease collisions.
