Amish schools still meeting for class despite Governor's orders

BLOOMFIELD, IA - Back in mid-March, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds gave a directive that all Iowa schools close for a period of four weeks, a measure taken to help control the spread of the coronavirus that causes the COVID-19 disease.
On April 2, the statewide directive was extended through April 30.
Following the initial order in mid-March, virtually all of Iowa's schools did close, in lock-step with the governor's order. However, KTVO has found that not all schools heeded that directive.
