Officials urge drivers to be aware of buggies

OHIO - Drivers in areas with high Amish populations should keep their eyes on the road and watch out for slower-moving, horse-drawn buggies.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there have been 719 crashes involving Amish buggies in the state of Ohio since the start of 2016. Of those, 14 have been fatal. That number does not include the most recent fatal accident in Windsor Township in January.
