Springtime Brings New Life

I am so excited to be writing and sharing my heart with all of you! My hope and prayer is that you will find hope, encouragement, and excitement for life as I share with you.
Springtime is my favorite time of the year, maybe because I was born in the spring. Everything is turning green, new life is springing up everywhere, gardens are being planted. Believe me when I tell you that seeing things green is very exciting. Where I live in Texas having things green is a short-lived experience, however; Texas has the most beautiful landscapes of spring wildflowers. In March the hills are covered with purple, in April they turn to yellow and white, and May brings more yellow and orange. May also brings many different blooms on trees and shrubs. It is a beautiful sight!
As I reflect upon what spring time means to me, I can't help but think about all the new life that is being brought into this world. And just like that new life in the earth, the animals, and the birds as well as people, I am reminded about God and his mercy.
Many times I find myself getting so overwhelmed with being too busy and I miss taking time to enjoy the beauty all around me. God created a beautiful place for us to live.
Lamentations 3:22 - 23 says "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
I leave you with this encouraging word. We all need to remember to take time in the midst of all we do on a daily basis to enjoy the beauty of new life all around us!
I pray for a special blessing from God this year on every wife and mother. Happy Belated Mother's Day! I pray for Godly wisdom for every husband and father as you take on the privilege that God has given to you in being the leader in your home. Happy Father's Day!
