PIKE TOWNSHIP, OH - A Fredericktown man has been charged after a 13-year-old Amish boy was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Knox County, according to the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

ROSE, NY - State Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a vehicle that hit an Amish buggy in the Town of Rose, then took off.
Troopers told 13WHAM that an 11-year-old girl suffered minor injuries in the collision Sunday around 4 pm on Wayne Center Rose Road.

ELMA, NY - The Erie County Sheriff's Office received multiple calls reporting a single vehicle crash on Route 400 South near Maple Street at 3:20 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies say a custom 1920 early model open top vehicle lost control and struck the safety rail causing the man operating it to be ejected from the vehicle.

LISBON, NY - A 7-year-old New York boy is in critical condition after the Amish buggy he was riding in was struck from behind by a pickup truck.
It happened Wednesday evening in the town of Lisbon. Police say the buggy was headed west on Route 10 when it was hit from behind, ejecting the two occupants, John D. Miller, 30, and Levi J. Miller, 7, both of Lisbon. John was treated and released but Levi remains in critical condition with a head injury.

FLACKVILLE, NY - A father and son were taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital after their Amish buggy was struck by a pickup truck Wednesday night.
The accident happened shortly around 7:45 p.m. while the buggy was heading south on County Route 10 north of Flackville.

Around 1 a.m. Monday morning, a crash involving a vehicle and horse & buggy occurred on N. Hollander Rd. in Leacock Township.
One person was taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

TOPEKA, IN - A mother and her daughter were killed early Saturday morning when the buggy they were in was struck from behind. The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department reports Velda C. Miller, 44, of 7455 S 400 W, Ligonier Ind., and Melissa Jo Miller, 15, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the 5:26 a.m. crash. Police said a vehicle driven by Jazieel Abundio Leon-Galvan, 21, of South Bend Ind., was westbound on 800 S, in Topeka Ind., and had just passed another vehicle.

LICKING, MO - An elderly woman in Missouri was ticketed by state troopers after rear-ending an Amish horse-drawn buggy on her way to a Sunday evening church service.
It was the second car accident for 83-year-old Clarissa Smith, who less than a year ago rear-ended another Amish horse and buggy on the same rural road near a settlement of Amish farms. The pregnant driver in that incident died three days later from injuries sustained in the accident, a local official confirmed.

CLARISSA, MN - Minor injuries were reported in a crash between a horse and buggy and a car. The Todd County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of County Roads 11 and 14 near Clarissa.
Twenty-two-year-old Felty Yoder of Long Prairie was going north when his horse-drawn buggy struck a car going east driven by 68-year-old Susan Lorentz of Eagle Bend.

MILES TOWNSHIP, PA - One person is dead after a motorcycle crashed into the back of an Amish buggy in Centre County.
Police said it all happened when Derek Lehman was driving his motorcycle around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night on Broad Street in Rebersburg, Miles Township.
Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers told us the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
We're told no one else was injured.

PONTOTOC COUNTY, MI - Law enforcement officers in Pontotoc County say no one was hurt in a Monday evening accident involving a car and an Amish buggy.
Pontotoc County Sheriff Leo Mask says the accident happened sometime after 6 p.m. in the area of Highway 9 and Highway 341.
He says one person was in the buggy; a mother and son were in the car.

LAGRANGE, IN - Five people, including three children, were badly hurt after a pickup truck crashed into their horse and buggy.
Police said the Amish buggy was crossing through the intersection of County Road 600 W and U.S. 20 around 10:40 p.m. Friday. That's when a pickup truck driving south on 600 W ran a stop sign going too fast and hit the buggy.

SHELBY COUNTY, OH - A car crash has left a 23-year-old woman dead, and two babies and a man critically injured, according to WHIO.
Police said the accident happened Friday night just before 9 p.m. in the 22000 block of State Route 47 West near Tawawa-Maplewood Road in Shelby County.

LAWRENCEBURG, IN - Two children and an adult were transported for medical attention in the wake of a crash Monday afternoon that involved a car and an Amish buggy. Authorities indicate that the crash occurred at around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 43 North in the northbound lanes.

HARDING, MN - Three people were injured when an SUV and a horse and buggy collided at 7:40 p.m. Friday on Highway 25, south of 233rd Street in Platte Township in Morrison County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Kia Sportage and a horse and buggy were both traveling south on Highway 25, when the Kia struck the rear of the buggy and came to a rest in the field.

NEW WILMINGTON, PA - An Amish teen is facing charges for alleged underage drinking and driving a horse and buggy while under the influence.
The charges, filed Friday by state police, follow an accident between the buggy and a sport utility vehicle around 5:50 p.m. March 22 at the intersection of Route 18 and Beechwood Road in Wilmington Township. The car had front fender damage.
LASTRUP, MN - Three people were hurt when a car rear-ended a horse and buggy. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 7:40 p.m. on Friday on Highway 25 north of Lastrup in Morrison County.
The car and the horse and buggy were both going south when the crash happened. The buggy came to a rest in a field.

CANTON, NY - Two Amish men were thrown from their wooden buggy shortly before 9 a.m. Monday after being struck from behind by a vehicle on Old DeKalb Road, about half a mile south of the intersection with West Main Street.
None of the people involved in the accident were injured, nor was the horse. The buggy was destroyed.

TENNESSEE - A early morning accident involving an Amish buggy on highway 43 south results in injuries. emergency personnel were dispatched to the accident just south of the intersection of highway 43 and the highway 64 bypass around 8:30. initial reports indicate a vehicle hit the buggy resulting in at least one occupant being thrown. that individual was transported to southern Tennessee regional hospital. the accident remains under investigation.

TOWN OF HOLTON, WI - A truck crashed into an Amish buggy in western Marathon County during foggy conditions on Wednesday.
The accident happened on County Road A between County Roads E and F near Dorchester. The buggy went into the ditch after it was stuck.

RICHMOND, PA - Traffic on Route 222 in Richmond Township was slowed Saturday after a horse and buggy collided with a car near Richmond Road.
The crash occurred shortly after 1 p.m.
First responders found no one with the buggy and an injured horse on Richmond Road.
IRONTON, WI - Sauk County authorities are seeking the public's help after an SUV hit an Amish buggy, killing the horse and injuring five people in the buggy.
Sheriff's officials say the hit-and-run happened just before 5 p.m. Sunday on Highway 58 in the Town of Ironton near Cazenovia in central Wisconsin.
Authorities say a blue 1999 GMC Yukon read-ended the buggy, causing people to fall out. Three children and two adults suffered minor injuries.

SEYMOUR, MO - A hit-and-run accident last Thursday night on Highway A near Diggins Road, about five miles northwest of Seymour, involved four Amish teenagers and left three with minor injuries.
Sgt. T.L. Hall of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Friday morning that law enforcement hasn’t yet found the driver responsible for hitting the horse-drawn buggy carrying the four Amish teens and then left the scene.

WEST SALEM, OH – A Polk man was seriously injured on Tuesday morning after his Amish buggy collided with a semi tractor-trailer on U.S. 42 in Congress Township in Wayne County.
The crash occurred around 9:10 a.m. according to the Wooster Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol. Nathan W. Sanford, 24, Reading, Mich., was driving north on U.S. 42 in a 2012 Freightliner Commercial Tractor with a tanker trailer filled with 42,000 pounds of dried Canola, Sanford told officials he looked away from the road, and when he looked back, he saw an Amish buggy driven by Peter Swartzentruber, 35, of Polk, who was also northbound on U.S. 42.

WEST EARL TOWNSHIP, PA - A 23-year-old man is in critical condition after he hit a loose horse in a West Earl Township crash Sunday.
John Bosley, of Leola, was driving west in the 400 block of East Main Street (Route 23) around 10:10 p.m. when his vehicle struck a loose horse, police said.

DAVIESS COUNTY, IN – One woman was taken to a hospital after an ambulance hit a horse and buggy in southwest Indiana.
Indiana State Police responded to the crash on county roads 900 E. and 975 N. in Daviess County around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

SHIPSHEWANA, IN - Five people were injured when their horse-drawn buggy was struck by a car at 50 S. Ind. 5 near Shipshewana at 3:41 p.m. Thursday. The driver of the car was arrested on multiple charges.
According to LaGrange County police, a 2009 Chevrolet car driven by Johnnie R. Wilson, 46, 106 N. Woodruff Road, Wolcottville, was southbound on Ind. 5. In the area of C.R. 50 South, the car allegedly crossed the center line and struck a horse-drawn buggy that was headed north, police reported.

JACKSON COUNTY, WI - A Jackson County man is dead after a crash between a semi and a buggy.
It happened just after 5 p.m. Wednesday on US Highway 10 at County Highway G, near Osseo in Jackson County.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a semi was going westbound on U.S. Highway 10 when it struck the buggy.
The 26-year-old buggy driver died in the crash. He was the only one in the buggy.

UNION, OR - No one was injured after a vehicle collided with an Amish buggy Sunday on County Highway V, near County Highway H, in the town of Union, according to Vernon County Sheriff John B. Spears.
Danny Thayer, 70, of La Farge was traveling north at about 6:15 p.m. when he entered the wrong lane and struck a southbound buggy carrying Josiah Schrock and Leah Schrock, both 26.
