MCCLURE, PA — A man is dead after a pickup truck struck the horse and buggy he was operating in Snyder County.
Police say the crash happened Friday just after 12 p.m. along Route 522.

MESOPOTAMIA, OH — An Amish boy struck by a 2010 Ford Econoline E-350 Monday morning along state Route 534 North was taken by medivac to University Hospital in Cleveland.
The accident took place about 8:38 a.m. Monday near Sweet West Road NW and Walnut Crest Beggs Road on state Route 534 North. The vehicle involved in the accident stopped at the scene.

LAFEYETTE COUNTY, WI - Deputies responded to Highway 81 at Kathy Road Friday for a car vs Amish buggy accident.
Authorities say 19-year-old Tyler Knight from Janesville was driving eastbound in Lamont Township when he lost control while driving on a curve.

ASHLAND COUNTY, OH - Ohio Highway Patrol, Ashland Sheriff’s Office, and Polk Volunteer Fire Department along with Polk EMS responded to a vehicle versus Amish Buggy accident yesterday evening.
The crash happened around the 4000 block in the Southbound lane of State Route 42.

AVON, MN — Two adults are dead after their horse-drawn buggy was struck from behind by a Ford F-150 pickup at 11:17 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16, on County Road 9 north of Avon.
The crash was reported by the pickup's OnStar impact activation system. Several passers-by stopped to assist at the crash scene. While officers were en route, information was received that both parties in the buggy were critically injured and CPR was in progress, according to a news release.

LOWVILLE, NY - A horse pulling a buggy “kicked over” in front of a Deferiet man’s truck on West Road on Friday.
David W. Podkowka, 38, was driving west on a straightaway toward the intersection with state Route 177 in his Ford truck at about 1 p.m. when he began passing an Amish buggy traveling the same direction.

DARLINGTON, WI - A buggy driver was transported by EMS for treatment of a head injury midday Friday after an oncoming car swerved into her lane of traffic and collided with the horse-drawn vehicle, according to Lafayette County Chief Deputy Troy Loeffelholz.
The accident was reported at 11:49 a.m. on Wisconsin 81 near Kathy Lane, just west of Lamont.

BLOOMFIELD, IA — A Bloomfield, Iowa, man accused of vehicular homicide will now face a jury in March.
The trial of Terry Petary was set to begin later this month, but on Wednesday, a judge granted a defense motion for a continuance.

FREMONT, WI – An 8-year-old child died Wednesday following a buggy crash in the Clark County town of Fremont, authorities said.
The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday on County Highway H west of Hi Line Avenue, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

Near Frazee, MN - A car lost control on icy roads and hit a horse-drawn buggy with five children inside, before hitting the ditch.
The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened around 8:30 Friday morning on Hwy. 87.
Authorities say 57-year-old Roger Meyer of Menahga was going west when he lost control and crashed into the buggy.

The crash happened about 2 p.m. on County Road 160 west of Township Road 652 in Paint Township.

SAUK COUNTY, WI - The riders in an Amish buggy escaped injury Wednesday afternoon when their buggy was hit by an SUV in Sauk County.
The crash happened at about 4:15 p.m on Highway 154 near Sugar Maple Road in the town of Washington, the Sheriff's Office said.

ASHLAND COUNTY, OH - An Ashland County grand jury has indicted a 48-year-old man on charges in connection with a buggy crash that sent seven members of an Amish family to the hospital.
Patrick A. Muscaro, 47, of West Salem, has been indicted on eight criminal charges, including five counts of vehicular assault.

HARLAN, In - Two boys were critically hurt Tuesday evening after a minivan hit the pony wagon they were riding in.
The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. in the 16600 block of Trammel Road in Harlan.

LAGRANGE, IN - One woman has been hospitalized after a pickup truck and a horse and buggy crashed in LaGrange County Saturday morning.
Police were called to the crash around 9:40 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 400 W and County Road 200 North.

GOSHEN, IN - Two people were injured in a buggy-automobile crash Friday evening.
According to a report, a 2015 Chrysler 200 driven by Robert Parker III, Marysville, Ohio, was traveling northwest in the 2800 block of Lincolnway East around 10:06 p.m. when his vehicle struck the rear of a horse-drawn buggy operated by Emma Schwartz, Goshen, causing the buggy to flip over. The horse then became loose and ran from the scene. It's unknown if the horse sustained injury, the report stated.

DICKINSON, NY - Three children were thrown from an Amish buggy after it was struck from behind by a car here, State Police say.
Mattie D. Schlabach, 13, suffered a fractured orbital bone and jaw bone, police said in a press release, while Andy D. Schlabach, 8, had broken vertebrae in his neck.

ST. LAWRENCE, NY - State police are investigating an Amish buggy accident that shut down a portion of Route 11B Thursday near the St. Lawrence - Franklin county line.
Police said 38 year old Matthew Gainey of Rensselaer Falls was driving his vehicle on Route 11B when he passed another vehicle while cresting a hill and hit the rear of an Amish buggy.
The three passengers in the buggy were ejected. They were all children under the age of 13 from North Lawrence.

CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP, MI - Five people were taken to a Fort Wayne hospital Thursday night after they were injured in a car-buggy accident in southern Branch County.
As many as seven persons may have been injured, but that information has not been confirmed.
The Michigan State Police are still putting the details of the accident together so no further information was available on Friday.

CENTRE COUNTY, PA - Centre County emergency crews responded to a crash with injuries between a pickup truck and a horse and buggy at about 10 a.m. Friday, according to 911 dispatch.
Two people were transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center; police on the scene confirmed, and dispatch noted that a five-year-old female and 47-year-old male were injured.
The crash, which happened right outside of Centre County Vinyl, occurred at about 9:53 a.m. on 4857 Penns Valley Road in Penn Township when the right front side of the truck struck the buggy. The condition of the horse is unknown.

ALAMOSA, CO - A horse was able to walk away with a slight limp after a pickup driver crashed into a buggy on Thursday.
The crash happened on Highway 370 in Alamosa County just southwest of Alamosa. Colorado State Patrol cited the driver of the pickup truck for careless driving and buggy the horse was towing flipped rolled on its side.

SULLIVAN TOWNSHIP, OH - A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after hitting a horse-drawn buggy carrying seven people in Ashland County Sunday night.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, it happened at just after 7:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 224 near County Road 581.

LAGRANGE, IN - A man, woman and two young children were hurt when the buggy they were riding in was struck by a car along U.S. 20 in LaGrange County Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car was then charged with intoxicated driving and drug charges.
Police and medics were called around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to U.S. 20 at C.R. 100 West, just west of LaGrange. There, police found a horse-drawn buggy and a GMC Terrain crashed.

FLYNN TOWNSHIP, MI - The driver of a horse-drawn buggy was injured but refused treatment after a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday on Peck Road west of Maple Valley Road in Flynn Township.
The crash happened about 7:35 a.m. Wednesday, according to information from the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office.
According to deputies, a 29-year-old man from Marlette was traveling east on Peck Road in a horse-drawn buggy when the buggy was rear-ended by a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup. The truck was being driven by a 35-year-old man from Brown City.

DILLWYN, VA - Police say four people were hurt, three seriously, when a car rear-ended a horse-drawn buggy in central Virginia.
Virginia State Police said the horse was killed in the crash Sunday morning in Buckingham County.
Police say 18-year-old Haley Taylor was driving a 2002 Honda when she rear-ended the buggy. Her car flipped, and the buggy was destroyed.

BELLE CENTER, OH - An area driver was cited after he struck an Amish buggy near Belle Center Wednesday night around 7:05.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Todd Amweg, 37, of Kenton, was driving a 2001 Ford truck eastbound in the 8500 block of County Road 101 when he went left of center and struck a westbound Amish buggy operated by Mark Curtis, 66, of rural Belle Center.

FORT WAYNE, IN - Three people were hurt after a crash involving a car and Amish buggy in northern Allen County.
It happened just before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near Milan Center Road and State Road 37. Police said a car rear-ended the buggy. Five children were in the buggy at the time of the crash. One was taken to an area hospital in serious condition. The others were not seriously hurt.

DEKALB COUNTY, IN - A mother and her 3-year-old son were taken to the hospital after a car rear-ended their buggy Sunday night.
The crash happened around 7:30p.m. along the 5400 block of County Road 68 in DeKalb County. The driver of the car, Mindy Harris, 43, of Leo was going west bound on C.R. 68, but could not see the road very well because of the glare from the sun.

ROME TOWNSHIP, PA - Several people are injured Sunday night after a car hits an Amish buggy occupied by eight people, many of them children.
The accident happened just after 7pm Sunday at Magee Town road and Gilson ridge road in Rome Township. A car driven by a 17 year old woman reportedly hit the buggy from behind. Two adults and six children were aboard the buggy. One of the adults was life flighted to the hospital. The others in the buggy along with the driver of the car were also taken to the hospital by ambulance. State police are currently investigating.

MONROE TOWNSHIP, OH - Three children were among four injured when a pickup truck struck an Amish buggy Thursday morning on Root Road in Monroe Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

MARTINSBURG, OH - A Utica man and teenager were transported by medical helicopter from the scene of a buggy-vehicle crash in Licking Country Sunday.
Ohio State Highway Patrol, Granville Post Lt. Aaron Vollmer reported that Abe Gingerich, 20, Utica, and Amos Gingerich, 13, Utica, were transported via medical helicopter from the scene of the crash, which occurred on Ohio 586 at 10:15 a.m.

MONTGOMERY, IN - Police say seven individuals were injured in a Daviess County vehicle-versus-buggy accident Saturday evening north of Montgomery.
Indiana State Police at the Jasper Post were contacted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department to assist with the accident that had occurred on Daviess County Road 650E, a half mile north of Daviess County Road 200N.

CLAYTON, NY - Two Amish men were transported to Samaritan Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries after their buggy was struck by a pick-up truck Tuesday.
Clayton Fire Chief Christopher J. Barton said the truck driver rear-ended the buggy and caused it to overturn at about 8 p.m. while both were travelling east on County Route 11. Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue Service transported the two men to the hospital, one for a laceration on his head and the other for a possible leg injury.

BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP, MI - A horse was killed on Tuesday morning after a van crashed head-on into a horse drawn buggy on 46th Street near County Road 388 in Van Buren County.
The horse was killed on impact and the 67-year-old man driving the buggy was ejected. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.

RUSHFORD, NY - One person was Mercy Flighted to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo Wednesday afternoon following an Amish buggy accident in the Town of Rushford.
An Amish family of nine was traveling on Tucker Hill Road when their horse got spooked and took off, flipping the buggy upside down and into a ditch. An elderly woman reportedly in her mid to late 70s suffered significant facial lacerations and arm lacerations during the accident. She was reportedly alert and oriented before Mercy Flight arrived, and her injuries were not expected to be life-threatening.

CRAB ORCHARD, KY - Lincoln County authorities are responding to the scene of a deadly wreck involving an Amish buggy.
Authorities say the collision occurred on Ky. 39 near Crab Orchard.
An Amish man died as a result of the collision. Authorities have identified him at Bruce Troyer, 52, of Crab Orchard. They say he was ejected from the carriage and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three-vehicle crash happened near Millersburg at Country Road 38 and County Road 43.

LAWRENCEBURG, TN - Five people were hurt in an accident involving an Amish buggy and a vehicle in Lawrenceburg Wednesday.
It happened on Highway 43 around 5:45 p.m.
Four people were taken to a local hospital for their injuries and one person in the Amish buggy was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

BEDFORD, IN - An Amish teen suffered internal and back injures after her horse-drawn buggy was struck in the rear.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff's Department report, 17-year-old Fannie Hershberger, was transported to Monroe Hospital and then airlifted to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.

VIROQUA, WI - A car vs. Amish horse and buggy accident injured the horse and two people in the buggy early Tuesday morning.
According to Vernon County Sheriff John Spears, Cheryl Proctor, 62, of rural Genoa, was traveling southbound on County Road O. Samual Miller, 34, and Daniel Mast, 17, both of Genoa, were riding in an Amish buggy traveling in the same direction.

DELKALB, IL - A 13-year-old Amish girl escaped injury in DeKalb Friday when the buggy she is driving was apparently rear-ended by a Dodge Dart.
The girl was northbound on State Route 812 and almost at her home's driveway when the accident occurred.

SULLIVAN TWP, OH - Four people were hospitalized Thursday evening after a box truck struck the back of an Amish Buggy on U.S. 224 in Ashland County.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say the buggy, operated by 20-year-old Menno Swartzentruper, was headed east on U.S. 224 in Sullivan Township around 6:45 p.m. There were five passengers riding with Swartzentruper.

GAP, PA - A family of six, including a baby, was transported to Lancaster General Hospital after their horse and buggy was rear-ended by a pickup truck in Gap, according to Gap Fire Company’s chief.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. Sunday when a man driving a pickup truck north along Newport Road was blinded by sunlight and smashed into the rear of the buggy, Gap Fire Co. Chief Troy Wenger said.
