LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX – One person suffered minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash southwest of Wolfforth Sunday afternoon.
The accident was reported around 1:45 p.m. near the 11500 block of U.S. Highway 62/82.

MARLETTE TWP., MI — A 90-year-old woman struck a horse-drawn buggy on Dec. 16 and continued home after failing to find what caused the damage.
The Marlette Police Dept. reported Michigan State Police in Caro investigated the accident that occurred around 2:35 p.m. on Marlette Road near Boyne Road.

MINNESOTA - A 12-year-old boy who was riding in his Amish family’s horse-drawn buggy when it was hit by a car in southeastern Minnesota has died, authorities said Monday.
Joe Mast was taken by ambulance Friday from the crash scene northeast of Prosper to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis., where he died, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

NEWBURG TOWNSHIP, MN - Menno Mast was injured on Friday, December 20th in Newburg Township when the horse and buggy he was driving was struck by a car.
Mast, 56, was traveling eastbound on Highway 44 when it was hit by an Oldsmobile Alero driven by 42-year-old Brian Schwingle. Mast was transported to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in Lacrosse, Wisconsin for treatment of his injuries.

MARLETTE TOWNSHIP, MI - A 90-year-old Marlette woman who police say crashed into an Amish buggy Monday in Marlette Township told troopers she didn’t know what caused the collision.
At approximately 2:35 p.m. Monday, a Ford Fusion crashed into the buggy on Marlette Road, just east of Boyne Road, in Marlette Township, according to a press release from the Michigan State Police Caro Post.

ENGADINE, MI – A horse died in a recent vehicle-buggy highway crash after the horse became spooked and galloped into traffic M-117 in the Upper Peninsula.
The horse was pulling an Amish buggy on a road off M-117 when it was spooked and the driver was thrown from the cart, Newberry News reports. The horse then galloped onto M-117 and ran along the highway for more than a mile before the crash occurred after dark last month.

EPHRATA, PA - Ephrata police are investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a car striking a horse-drawn buggy.
The crash occurred on Parkview Heights Road near Bethany Road on Sunday around 12:25 p.m.
Police say the suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2008 or 2009 Chevrolet Malibu.

BELMONT, WI - A Darlington woman was arrested after she allegedly crashed into an Amish buggy Sunday night in the town of Belmont.
According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old Jeanne M. Halvorson was driving southbound on State Highway 126 when she hit the Amish buggy and failed to stop around 6:15 p.m.

ROCKVILLE, IN - Parke County sheriff's deputies have completed their investigation into a crash involving a van and Amish buggy Nov. 2 on U.S. 36 east of Raccoon Lake Bridge that claimed the life of a mother and her 2-year-old son.
Van driver Steven Miller Ealy, 66, of Danville, Indiana, has been cited for failure to yield right of way resulting in a crash, Sheriff Justin Cole said in a news release.

ALLEN COUNTY, IN - The Allen County coroner's office Monday identified the victim of a Sunday afternoon crash involving a horse-drawn buggy and a vehicle in the 26000 block of Indiana 37 near the Ohio state line.
Suzanna Schmucker, 43, of St. Joe, was a passenger in the buggy that was struck by a vehicle shortly before 5 p.m., the coroner's office said after an autopsy.

PERTH, NY - Two men and a horse were injured after a car collided with an Amish buggy on Sacandaga Road Wednesday morning. A third man and the female driver of the car were uninjured.
The driver of a silver sedan was traveling southbound on Sacandaga Road when she veered into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on into the buggy containing the three men. Two of the men were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the horse, which was severely injured in the incident, was expected to be euthanized.

VIRGINIA - Four young children, ages 7, 3, 2 and a one-month-old newborn, along with their mother were injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday on State Route 642 (Liberty Road), one mile north of State Route 641 (Lower Liberty Road).
According to an accident report filed by Virginia State Trooper H. J. Buzzetta, the Amish family of six were travelling along the Nathalie Road in a 2015 model horse-drawn buggy operated by 27-year-old Timothy J. Miller of Nathalie when a 2013 Ford Fusion driven by 23-year-old Shelley A. Hughes of Nathalie struck the buggy in its rear causing it to run into a ditch and overturn ejecting the six family members.

MEXICO, NY - An Amish mother who was injured when a vehicle struck a buggy from behind last week has died, according to the New York State Police.
Anna Miller, 44, of 1290 county Route 28, Richland, was riding in the buggy with her husband, Andy, 44, around 4:30 p.m. last Thursday when a Ford Fusion hit the back of the buggy on state Route 3 in Mexico, state police said. The impact threw the couple from the buggy, police said.

MEXICO, NY - An Amish mother who suffered a critical head injury last week when a car struck her buggy from behind remains in critical condition at a Syracuse hospital, a nursing supervisor said Monday evening.

A man from Jefferson County was driving in the town of Mexico when he failed to see a horse-drawn buggy. Bill Twombly, age 40, struck the buggy from behind, causing its two passengers to be ejected.

MEDINA COUNTY, OH - An Amish man from Medina County was seriously injured after a FedEx van slammed into his horse-drawn cart Friday afternoon in West Salem.
The accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. on State Route 301 north, and both the delivery driver and Amish man were taken to Lodi Hospital.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, PA - A mistrial was declared in the case of Cristopher Whitney Cranmer, 39, of Montgomery, who is accused of drunkenly slamming into the back of an Amish buggy and seriously injuring six of its occupants.
The jury was tainted, according to an October 3, 2019, order by Lycoming County President Judge Nancy L. Butts.

MEXICO, N.Y. –State Police tell NewsChannel 9 two people were hurt, one critically after a car struck a horse and buggy along State Route 3 in the Town of Mexico, Oswego County Thursday afternoon.
Investigators say the buggy was hit from behind causing both occupants to be eject. The car that struck the buggy then hit a large rock retaining wall and a utility pole before coming to a stop.

CLARE, MI - Clare Fire Department was called to the scene of a vehicle and Amish buggy accident on Stevenson Lake Road Sunday evening.
Clare Fire Chief Jim Chapman said the accident occurred around 9:12 p.m. near the intersection of Meridian Road when a vehicle driven by Brayene Benner, 22 of Big Rapids, hit a buggy and destroyed it.
“The family in the buggy was very fortunate,” Chapman said. “They sustained only minor injuries. The buggy had to be hauled away in four pieces. It was a pile of rubble.”

It happened at Kinsman and Hayes road in Middlefield Township.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a woman and her 17-year-old daughter were inside the buggy when it was hit by a semi.

The driver of the SUV said he fell asleep while driving on Pembroke Road, and when he opened his eyes, he was unable to stop in time, according to the Christian County Sheriff's Office.

Ronald Ramsey, 83, of Vermontville, confirmed that he was behind the wheel of the Chevy Equinox SUV that hit the buggy around 3:20 p.m. Sept. 18 on Vermontville Highway, west of Ainger Road in Chester Township.

CANTON, MN - A Lisbon man, Abe Gingreich, 39, was taken to the hospital with a broken neck after the Amish buggy he was operating was struck from behind.
Mr. Gingreich was southbound on Route 68 near the intersection with Basswodd Ridge Road at 8:48 a.m. Sept. 26, when police say he was hit by a 2014 Dodge Dart driven by Amy L. Kelso, 33, Ogdensburg. Ms. Kelso had just crested a hill when the crash occurred, police said.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said it happened around 5:40 p.m. on Highway 10 near McGower Road in the Town of Cleveland.
ANGOLA, IN - An Angola, Indiana-man who was driving a vehicle that struck an Amish buggy in June near Coldwater was ordered to stand trial in Branch County.
The preliminary hearing for Tyler Frye, 21, was held on Thursday at the Branch County 3A District Court. The purpose of the hearing was to determine if there was enough evidence to move forward with a trial. District Court Judge Brent Weigle found probable cause, and the case will be bound over on all grounds to the 15th Circuit Court.

EATON COUNTY, MI - Three Amish children died on Wednesday after the horse-drawn buggy they were riding in was involved in a fatal crash on a Michigan highway.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m., local authorities responded to a 911 call “reporting a motor vehicle/horse drawn vehicle crash,” according to a news release from the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office.

DARLINGTON, WI -- Authorities in Lafayette County are looking for the person who rear-ended a horse-drawn buggy early Sunday morning. According to Sheriff Reg Gill, the driver of the buggy was seriously hurt and the horse was killed in the crash.
Sheriff Gill says the crash happened just before 3 a.m. Sunday on the 1700 block of Highway 81. Gill says the buggy was rear-ended as it traveled eastbound on highway 81.

CAMDEN TOWNSHIP, MI — An Amish family of four was airlifted from the scene of a crash on Dimmers Road near Edon Road in Camden Township Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses on scene told The Hillsdale Daily News a silver pickup truck driven by an elderly man struck the horse drawn carriage carrying a family of four including a husband, wife, an infant and a small child. The pickup truck driver was not injured. Authorities have yet to release the identity of anyone involved in the accident or the status of their injuries.

ASHLAND, OH - A pick-up truck hit an Amish buggy while traveling northbound on U.S. Route 250 Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:35pm when 29-year old Jonas Miller was struck in the back of his Amish buggy by a Ford F-150.
The driver of the F-150 was 64-year old Floyd Poland. Both men are from Savannah, Ohio. Ashland County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kinter said, “Jonas was not transported to the Hospital, but Mr. Poland was.”

HILLSBORO, WI - A horse was killed Sunday after an Amish buggy and truck collided on Hwy. 82 near Hwy. 33 in the town of Hillsboro.
Cody T. Chaulklin, 27, of Cashton was westbound on Hwy. 82 at about 4 p.m. in a pickup truck towing a trailer with a skid-loader, according to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office. A nearby Amish horse-and-buggy broke away from a hitching post and was running loose down Hwy. 82. The horse-and-buggy ran into the oncoming lane and was struck by Chaulklin’s trailer.

JEFFERSON, ME - A Thomaston man is in serious condition after colliding with a horse-drawn carriage while he was riding a motorcycle on Route 32 in Jefferson.
Stephen Grant, 38, was riding westbound on Waldoboro Road, which is Route 32, around 7 p.m. Wednesday when he approached an incline being ascended by a horse and buggy, said Detective Scott Hayden of Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, who came upon the scene.

Police determined the driver was careless and have charged him under the Highway Traffic Act. The crash happened Wednesday on Road 92, a two-lane highway in Zorra Township, northwest of Woodstock.

The man was driving a 2016 Subaru Legacy on State Route 42 near the Wayne County and Ashland County border when he collided with the buggy, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The buggy was carrying eight passengers. Four were adults and the other four were children. All eight were taken to a Lafayette hospital with only minor injuries. The driver who crashed into the rear of the car was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Preliminary scanner reports said the female was bleeding from the head and pressure was being applied to the wound.
