PARKMAN, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed to Fox 8 News that an 18-year-old critically injured while driving an Amish buggy had died.
He was identified as Robert Miller of West Farmington, Ohio.
Miller passed away at 8:51 p.m. Thursday, just hours after he was hit from behind by a car while operating the buggy on Farmington Road east of Hobart Road near Parkman.
“This area here is pretty hilly. Both vehicles were traveling in the same direction. The Amish buggy was right at the hillcrest and the car that struck the Amish buggy just didn’t see it in the hillcrest,” Lt. Mark Neff, with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, said.

Two teenagers were taken to hospital after a crash west of Elmira.
The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. Sunday.
Police say a Chrysler Neon was driving northbound on Listowel Road, near Line 86, when it attempted to overtake a buggy travelling in the same direction on the shoulder.
The buggy then allegedly and suddenly turned in front of the vehicle, causing a crash.

REEDSVILLE - One woman and at least three children were injured in a Tuesday night crash when a car hit a horse-drawn buggy in Reedsville, according to a report from Mifflin County Regional Police.
Police said Jodi Kuhns, of Reedsville, was driving east on Woodland Road around 8:05 p.m. when she was distracted by a child with a medical emergency in the back seat of her car. Kuhns' car crossed the center line and hit a buggy driven by Dorothy Yoder, which was traveling in the opposite direction.

Orleans — According to an Orange County Sheriff's Department press release at 9:07 p.m. the Orange County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call reporting a vehicle had struck an Amish buggy and there were two people injured.
19-year-old Johnny Miller and 18-year-old Anna Miller both suffered injuries and were taken to IU Health Hospital. Police say Johnny Miller suffered serious injuries.

Town of Richland, NY — Three people were hospitalized Sunday after a horse-and-buggy crash in the Town of Richland, police said.
The crash happened on Peck Road, authorities said. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Ohio — Five people, including three children, were taken to the hospital Thursday after a crash involving a truck and a horse-drawn buggy.
According to the Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Moses Sensenig, 28, of Shiloh, Ohio, was driving the buggy southbound on Edwards Road in Richland County Thursday.
Investigators said he pulled from the intersection to travel south onto Swanger Road and was struck by the truck that was headed east on Baseline Road.
All five people in the buggy were ejected, including Joann Sensenig, 27; Larose Sensenig, 4; Bethany Sensenig, 2; Marilyn Sensenig, 7 months.

LONDON, Ont. — Ten people were injured, some of them seriously, when the horse-drawn buggy they were riding in collided with a car shortly after midnight Thursday near Clifford, Ont.
"Some of the children were knocked right out of their shoes," said Stephen Dewar, chief of Guelph-Wellington EMS, which sent four ambulances to the scene of the crash on Hwy. 9 just south of County Rd. 2 in Minto Township, about 130 km northeast of London, Ont.

Minnesota — Authorities are looking for the driver of a pick up involved in a hit-and-run with a horse and buggy near Wadena, Minnesota. A woman and two children were taken to the hospital after the crash.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff says it happened about one-half mile north of County Highway 50 along Highway 73 near Wadena.
Authorities say a horse and buggy was hit by a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup and the driver of the pick up took off. The sheriff says now the suspect is looking at more severe charges than if they had just pulled over.

Ohio — A man injured in a horse-drawn buggy accident in Sugar Creek Township was discharged from Akron General Hospital on Tuesday, hospital personnel said Wednesday.
Jeff T. Miller, 23, of 4223 Township Road, Sugarcreek, was flown by helicopter to the hospital after the accident at 7:17 p.m. Friday, according to state troopers at the New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Lancaster, PA — This evening Sadsburyville Fire Company, along with Rescue 8, Ambulance 8, Ambulance 44, along with Medic 93 were dispatched to Route 30 for an auto accident with entrapment. Ambulance 8 made an immediate response with Rescue 8 following behind with a crew of 6. Supplemental information being given to responding chiefs and units, indicated one car collided with a horse and buggy, trapping one victim under the buggy.

PA — New Holland Police say the operator of a horse and carriage failed to signal he was turning, just as a motorcycle was attempting to pass him, causing an accident. It happened just before 7:30pm at the intersection of Peters Road and Yost Road. Ralph Trego, 31, of New Holland was on the motorcycle. The horse and carriage operator, Amos Fisher, of Narvon, did not properly signal he was turning left at the intersection.

ASHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — A man critically injured after a car struck his buggy earlier this week has died, the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirms.
Troopers say the man passed away from his injuries Thursday evening. He has been identified as John A. Yoder, 50, of Homerville, Ohio.

TOWNSEND, VT. — Police were called out to a horse and buggy accident last week in Townsend, Vt.
It happened on Deer Valley Road at around 7 p.m. last Tuesday.
Police say a 23-year-old woman from New Jersey was operating the buggy. The woman suffered a serious head injury from the accident.
She was airlifted to Dartmouth where she's in critical condition.

DUNDALK, Ont. — Four people are in hospital and a horse is dead following a head-on crash between a car and a buggy about 70 kilometres south of Owen Sound.
Provincial police say it happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday in the community of Dundalk.
They say a northbound car crossed the centre line and collided with the horse and buggy.

London, Ontario — Grey County OPP are investigating a collision that killed a horse and injured four people.
Just after 6:30 Saturday evening, emergency crews responded to a crash between on Proton Street, Dundalk, in the Township of Southgate.
A 1997 Acura ELS was travelling north bound when it crossed over into the south bound lane, colliding head on with a south bound horse drawn buggy.

PA — Two people were injured when a man reaching for his cellphone crashed into a horse and buggy Friday morning in Ephrata Township, police reported.
Kevin Benito, 28, of Manheim, was driving east in the 3000 block of Rothsville Road, just east of Middle Creek Road, at about 8 a.m.Ephrata police Sgt. Eric Schmitt said. Then his cellphone beeped and he briefly looked away from the road at the phone. "He said he was reaching for his cellphone at the time of the crash," Schmitt said.
