I Look forward to Reading the Amish Voice each Month (By: SG)
| September 1, 2024I would like to receive my free copy of The Secret of the Strength. We don’t know about a lot of what our ancestors had to go through for us to be where we are today.
Please Pray that I am a Doer of the Word (By: CK)
| September 1, 2024How did I enroll in Plowman’s Academy? I sent a note asking how much The Amish Voice cost and asked to put us on the mailing list.
I Prefer Feeding on God's Word in its Pure Form (By: NS)
| September 1, 2024I prefer feeding on God’s Word in its pure form, as it is from the Bible and as is given through His servants, our ministers.
I Marvel that Jesus Found Me (By: RM)
| May 1, 2023Dear Joe Keim: I am so blessed with your much-needed ministry! I still marvel that Jesus found me in a very dark setting where salvation was very clearly taught but still the system clung to low (ordnung), not so much a Holy Spirit relationship.
I was Hooked from the Beginning (By: CP)
| May 1, 2023My parents receive The Amish Voice. There was an advertisement within of a book called What do the Amish Believe. I sent for it immediately...
We are Content with the Faith we Have (By: BH)
| March 1, 2023Dear Sirs, we have been receiving your letters lately. We are fully contended with the faith we have. Thus we have not even a remote desire to even seek anything else.
I Pray the Lord will Awaken You, By JP
| July 1, 2022To Whom it may concern: The piece Born again and Amish is not scriptural. The Bible says, Avoid all appearance of evil; Flee from it; That includes this paper and the TV.
I Enjoy your Newsletter, By IN
| May 1, 2022Dear Amish Voice, greetings of love in our Saviorsname, Jesus Christ. Amen! Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen (Revelation 7:12).
A Few Things I Disagree With, By RM
| May 1, 2022The idea that an Old Order Amish Church Ordnung is just a set of man-made rules might be true if we choose to think so, but it can also be viewed as being Biblical principles applied to everyday life that we submit to God and his Bride, which is the church.
Our Way of Thinking is Not the Same, by MS
| March 1, 2022Our way of thinking is not what I see in your publication, The Amish Voice.
Amish Don't Teach Salvation Through Works, by A Reader in Indiana
| November 1, 2021Dear friends, I dont know of any Amish church denominations that teach salvation through works. I think you know better. Im sure you werent taught that growing up.
Hypocrisy in Your Magazine
| July 1, 2021First I would like to write about the hypocrisy on the front page heading and picture. Throughout your paper, you downplay the old order churches and the non-conformity in dress standards and the why’s of doing. Do you realize if they would not have had those standards the 300 plus years, there would be no such thing as the Amish church?
Wolves Dressed in Sheep's Clothing, by AM
| March 1, 2021Please do not send us a single issue of the false doctrine you print. It is clearly false doctrine. The Lord will judge. The reason we unsubscribed is because of false doctrine, and did not Jesus say we should be careful of wolves that come dressed in sheep clothing. No, it’s not even dressed in sheep clothing - it’s wolves through and through. Don’t want to hear more from you.
Not Interested in your So-Called Amish Voice, by SG
| March 1, 2021We are not interested in your so called Amish Voice. Is it honest and upright to call it Amish? I know of no Old Order Amish that believes as you do. Paul said that you will be saved through hope. I think it is yours that need to read the whole Bible—won’t you?
I'm Interested in Writing Religious Books, By DF
| January 1, 2021My address speaks for itself about where I’m at. I’m interested in writing religious books, therefore my chaplain directed me to write you a letter. I have an unfinished manuscript that consists of multiple sermons that were written in church, word for word, and then translated into English.
Well Written and Theologically Sound, By EO
| January 1, 2021Dear sir, I don't know who might have submitted my name and address, but I am thankful that I had the opportunity to read the Amish voice. It is very well written and theologically sound.
Ordnung vs Love for God, By BR
| November 1, 2020Just a few lines to thank you for this publication. I enjoyed it very much! I hope to be kept on your mailing list. 25 years ago my dad said he feels our Amish people are losing what our forefathers believed. To live for God and not just follow the Amish ordnung, but to realize it’s a separate thing.
Twist, Turn, and Leave things out of Scripture, By AM
| November 1, 2020It irritates me greatly to see how people twist & turn & leave some things out of scripture so they don’t have to feel guilty.
Too Many Scriptures, By DS
| September 1, 2020 I do not like your papers. I don’t think it’s a good idea to have so many scriptures and every day happenings or a timely paper. God’s Word is sharper than a two-edged sword and it is not child’s play. I do not like your attitude of, “I know I’m saved,” or, “I know you are reborn.”
Read Cover to Cover, By EO
| September 1, 2020 I don’t know who might have submitted my name and address, but I am thankful that I had the opportunity to read The Amish Voice. I seldom read anything cover to cover, but this was an exception. It is very well written and theologically sound.
Remain Separate from the World, by ARH
| July 1, 2020The Amish Voice seems to have a fairly modern teaching and views. I also am concerned that you would promote voting to such a level, if the scriptures teach us to remain separate from the world. -ARH
Your View of Voting is not Good, by S.L.
| May 1, 2020I do agree with some of your articles, like the one on homosexuality, but your view of voting for our country is not good. If you say that you are being a good citizen by voting, will you feel the same way when asked to help our government in other areas?
Conversations with Jehovah’s Witnesses, by J.D.M.
| March 1, 2020I enjoyed your article, a while ago called “What Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Actually Believe?” We have delighted to invite Jehovah’s Witnesses in for Bible study and discussions.
I Read My Parents' Amish Voice, By: N.D.
| January 1, 2020 I would like for you to send me the Amish Voice every month. I read my parents’ Amish Voice and I believe it got me closer to God and helps me to better understand the Bible.
This Message Really Touched My Heart, By: D.S.
| January 1, 2020I certainly appreciated this message. It really touched my heart. Thanks for making this available. May God bless you.
Why is the Amish Voice not written in German?, By A.B.
| November 1, 2019Please take us off your mailing list. Why is the Amish Voice not written in German instead of English? Something’s not right about that since the main language for any Amish anywhere is German.
I Am Glad to Read the Amish Voice, By: F. H.
| September 1, 2019I would like to order two copies of the book, What Do the Amish Believe? I also want to thank you for all the effort and work you put into the Amish Voice! I do so enjoy it! There is so much truth in it and it keeps me encouraged to know that others believe as I believe. Many people are not taught the truth of the Word of God, so I am glad to read the Amish Voice. Keep praying!
I Appreciate the Amish Voice, By M.H.
| September 1, 2019I have wanted to let you know for a long time already that I appreciate the Amish Voice. I have been getting it for more than two years and I just wanted to let you know how much my life has been impacted by the Bible truth that you point out. Some churches warn everyone in their communities not to read the Amish Voice. This bothered me a lot because I was able to learn so much, so I kept on reading them.
Receiving Jesus into Your Heart: Is it Biblical?
| July 1, 2019Hello. I have a question about “receiving Jesus into my heart.” I have heard people say to do this, but is that biblical?
Being a Submissive Wife, by Mrs. WH
| May 1, 2019I have a suggestion for a future article. I used to think that a submissive wife would quietly go along with what her husband decided, showing little emotion, etc. I have come to realize that most men do not actually want passive, unemotional wives, but wives who can voice her concern and disagreement in a calm, kind voice—no pouting, etc. And, most importantly, have a smile and a spark (even if he is rather dull), encouraging, praising, and continually surprising him in little ways.
